Lantivet Duo Autumn Series no. 4: with special guest Patrick Kenny (Trombone)

The Lantivet Duo are joined by multi instrumentalist, composer and arranger Patrick Kenny. Patrick will be switching between trombone, bass trumpet and penny whistle to bring you brand new music written collaboratively by the musicians, as well as folk tunes, classical music and perhaps a trumpet debut for Brendan!

Patrick is a trombonist, composer, arranger and teacher based in Edinburgh.  His exceptional versatility as a musician and enjoyment of all musical styles has allowed him to work with classical and session orchestras as well as Jazz, Funk and Latin groups. He has performed with major UK and international artists such as Nicole Scherzinger, Salsa Celtica, Boy George and Peter Andre, as well as on West End shows the Book of Mormon and Fiddler on the Roof. Patrick also plays the Carnyx, A 2,000 year old Celtic war horn (of which only two reconstructed examples exist) performing at events including the opening ceremony of the Derry Year of Culture in Ireland and the re-opening of the National Museum of Scotland. Patrick studied at the Guildhall in London and and the Paris Conservatoire, and now teaches at Goldsmiths University, Edinburgh University and St Marys Music School.
